We recently discovered there is a lot of male breast enhancement misinformation on the internet posted on transgender forums, including discussing how to measure your breasts correctly and what the numbers and letters mean. These male breast enhancement posts were written by men who think they are experts about all things related to transitioning. Measuring ones breasts is really quite simple and the information is readily available on any women’s lingerie website, yet wrong information still persists. Not only did we read inaccurate information on how to measure one’s breasts, one author then went on to complain about our product, despite never using it and when our customers defended us with variable types of positive type feedback they were attacked as working for us and trying to promote sales!
Male breast enhancement with a bra
First I’d like to mention because I think most of you want some male breast enhancement out of your bra; most women do too. Choose a bra that has a constructed form and a push up pad. Push up bras are the number one selling bras for women; this is what made the Wonderbra the top selling male breast enhancement bra for years. You will be less happy with a soft construction, non-padded bra that does nothing to enhance your figure.
Bras for men?
The number of the band size, 36, 38, 40, etc. is the measurement beneath your male breasts. To determine your correct size, measure under your breasts first (step A) this is your band size, then measure across your nipple at the fullest part of your breasts (Step B) this is your bra size. (Note both measurements are completely around your torso.) If you are an uneven number round up.
The number of inches between the rib cage and the fullest part of your breast determines your cup size. Males starting out in their male breast enhancement journey will have a nearly identical number between their rib cage and their breast measurement. Growing one or two inches is still not very much in the grand scheme of breast measurements. You may be a 40 and a cup size nothing, 40 under your breasts and 40 across your nipples or 41 or 42 inches across your nipples.
Subtract your band measurement (step 1) from your cup measurement (step 2). Generally each inch in difference equates to one cup size. See the cup size conversion chart below.
|If The Difference Is:||Your Male Breast Cup Size Is:|
|0″ to 1/2″ (1.3cm)||AA|
|1/2″- 1″ (2.6 cm)||A|
|2″ (5.1 cm)||B|
|3″ (7.6 cm)||C|
|3″ (7.6 cm)||C|
|4″ (10.2 cm)||D|
|5″ (12.7 cm)||DD * or E *|
|6″ (15.2 cm)||DDD * or F *|
|7″ (17.8 cm)||G *|
|8″ (20.3 cm)||H *|
|9″ (22.9 cm)||I *|
|10″ (25.4 cm)||J *|
So how do males get confused about male breast enhancement and bra sizing? The bra sizing system is NOT totally accurate. There is no perfect way to measure your male breast enhancement. A lot of other factors will affect your male bra measurements – the bra you’re wearing, the firmness of your breasts, the size of your rib cage, the broadness of your back, the narrowness of your shoulders. These factors and more can give you a false bra size once you have measured yourself. A size 40 aaa, or 42 aa doesn’t really exist for normal women. Even a 42A is not going to exist normally because overweight women have larger breasts. A size 34c and a 36B, a size 36C and a 38B, 36D and 34C can be interchanged. In the end none of these measure breast volume very well. Your breasts may be rounder and you may still wear the same bra size for quite some time but the bra cups are more filled out, you can also be between sizes and going up a cup size (letter) may work but going up a whole number and a cup size may not, think 40a to 40b, but a 42B would be too big. Think about a woman who has breast fed, she may be a 38c and look deflated and droopy another women is young and has perfectly round, firm, 38C’s. The younger woman may be able to wear a D cup sometimes and the older one may fit in a B cup, it may be a little tight but the C cup was somewhat loose because her breasts are deflated and not very full on top but the number is still the same across the nipple area.
The large numbers are more inaccurate, you may need to start your bra sizing with your base bra size and then tweaking this size based on what you don’t like about your current bra size fit. This could put you into a size that the chart says is wrong but for all of your specifics fits you. Also remember, all women have one breast larger than the other unless they have breast implants, the left breast is usually larger; this is likely going to happen to you also. If you develop with one breast smaller than the other do not worry about it, this is completely normal. Most bras were designed for the female torso and rib cage not male breast enhancement, so there is bound to be disappointment in the fit of these female bras on a male body unless you were born with a small frame like a woman.
I hope this article helps show the problem with measuring breasts both female and male. You may be feeling frustrated trying to figure out what size you are from you make breast enhancement but so are women!
