Hi girls!
Yet another, hopefully, helpful tip from me, Jenny Marie!
Another of the many things facing all girls, but even more so for those who have not been raised female, is clothes. All of us t-girls have to decide what kind of "style" we want to project. Do you want to be ultra-fem? May be just a little girly? Tomboyish? Or girl-next-door?
Style is an individual choice, what you want is what you want. This article is not about clothing choice, be who you want to be. What I want to write about is: SHOES!
If you happen to be blessed with a normal size (i.e. easy to find women's sizes) then I'm happy for you. The world (of shoes anyway) is your oyster! On the other hand, or rather foot, you may be challenged with larger feet, like me (men's size 12). Where on earth do we go for shoes?
Well, the Internet, silly! I have found three excellent sources of good looking, name brand shoes for larger feet. A word of warning: women's shoes are far more costly than men's shoes. But, good fitting, attractive shoes to complete your wardrobe would be money well spent.
So, my three top choices in order are:
1) Zappos: Largest selection, widest variety. Atheletic, heels, wedges, sandals, and boots. Also watch for sale prices.
2) Barefoot Tess: a large selection of trendy footwear.
3) Dream Shoes: a more modest selection, but worth looking at if you can't find what you're after in the first two.
I hope this helps. I'll be ordering a few pairs real soon. If any of you have other sources, please share them with the rest of us.
Toodle-loo,
Jenny Marie
