Hello, ladies:

Can anyone recommend some relatively less expensive  laswer hair removal? I also fed up  shaving  everyday and want someday to wake up without any need to go to bathroom and shave those damn facial hair. Also the same is true for body hair(on the back, front arms and leg- if I decide to remove all hairs from all body(besides head)  it could cost $6,000 or more for the entire body. I need some less expensive laser hair removal in Chicago

Okay girls,

I had my third session Sept. 24th. Didn't get the pre cool packs or the cool air blower, darn! I was in a different room and had a diffent girl. The upper lip and chin area are the most painful, the neck and cheecks are less so as there is less hair there. Speeking of which, I am noticing spaces on my upper lip that are clearing, yeah!

I am hoping that two or three session more will finish me. At least the dark hair, unfortunately light hair, i.e. grey in my case, is not effected by the laser. Therefore electrolisys is needed for those hairs.

When I'm mostly clear, it will be easier to use make-up. I can't wait.

Till next time,

Jenny Marie

Well girls, I had a second laser session last Friday, 27 Aug. The girl doing the proceedure took several photos of my face before getting started. She said I did show some loss on my cheeks and neck but I think I was sparse there to begin with. I was given a couple of cold packs to precool my face and the a cooling jell was applied. I was given a hand blower, blowning cold air, so that I could direct it where she was working. And thus it began. Ouch! Baby, she turned up the heat for this session. I can't believe I made it through with out crying.

Later I found out, my first session's setting was a 16 and this time the setting was 22! I fear my next session, how high will she go next!?

I let ya'll know my progress.

Hi girls, I am older than 40.LOL. But iwas told i pass for schoolboy. I hate shaving. finally i took the step 2 yrs ago and did laser. Same problem..it can not destroy grey hair follicle. Inspite of that I must say I am 70% better. Then I wanted to go for electolysis. Meanwhile with all thus laser injury I developed psoriasis. I cured myself in 3 months. So I gave up on the idea of eletrolysis. I just received Hammacher Schlemmer catalog which lists an an electrolysis machine looking similar to an electric shaver. I am ordering it to dau and slowly work with it all over my body and going to have totally hairless body ofcourse except the head. If any one has suggestions for growing nice full head of feminine hair, please post…..pam

Well, for those interested:

I had my first session of laser treatment.  They first covered my face with a cold sauve, this to keep the laser from burning the skin. And then—-Oh my gawd! it hurt like hell. Who ever said beauty is pain had no idea what they were talking about, but I now understand. Someone once described this treatment as feeling like a rubber band snapped against your face, yes, I'd say that was pretty close. The pain does quickly fade but the memory persists.

But not so bad to prevent me from scheduling my next session for Aug 7. I have been assured that the results will be worth it.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Ladies,

Yet another hopefully helpful tip from yours truly. sf wink Message Forum

I hate my facial hair! sf yell Message Forum And right now shaving is the only way I have of keeping my face hair-free. But, I'll tell you there are two effective ways to remove this unsightly shadow, this curse of being born male.

The first is electrolysis. Ouch! They insert a fine needle into the hair follicle and zap! Presumably kill the follicle dead. One by one. Image the time and expense, not to mention the pain!

The second way, which is becoming far more popular, is Laser removal. A pulsed laser is moved over the area where you desire hair to be removed. It targets the hair root and burns it dead. It sound more painful than it is. But actually, it's just a slight twinge. The result is like a mild sun burn. They do the whole face each session, and it may take 6-8 sessions to totally remove the beard. 4-6 weeks between sessions and you're looking at 6-8  months to a fresh face!

As for pricing, your will have to investigate that as it will vary, but it's certain that it's less than electrolysis. Either find an American Laser Center or some other facility under hair removal in the Phone directory.

Now the draw back is, it works better on dark hair than light. If you have any gray in your beard or you have blonde hair, it may not totally remove those hairs. But if it can remove most of them, then a few little zaps can get the rest! sf laugh Message Forum

I will begin this procedure on June 25th. I'll let everyone know the results when it's complete.

Good luck,

Karen
