Elena,
Thanks for weighing in on this topic. All of us t-girls must determine where we fit in in the transgender spectrum. As for me, I've always known I should have been born female. I am in the begining stages of transition (at a somewhat late age of 48) and I intend to present as female in the not to distant future.
SRS is the very last stage of transition, and sometimes it is an unnecessary one (for some). As a transsexual, SRS should not be a "goal" to be acheived but merely a step in a process. Enjoy the transition, if you already identify as female, then you are female.
Davie, if you want to remain "functional", then you may indeed fit the shemale category. Again, research and think about what you truly desire. A good gender therapist will help you determine what the healthiest course of action will be.
Good luck to you both.
Jenny Marie

Hello Davie:
I believe you may fit into so called "shemales", who do not want to undergo SRS (Sexual Reassignment Surgery), whilestill want to have some aspects of being and looking feminine, such as having breasts.. As for me personally, I want to have my breast grown to its fullest size possible(I dream of growing into no less than C or even D cup size bra), but also I wanted(and still want) to become a real woman. So It is up to you to decide who you are, whether you are confused or fit into some of those categories Jenny M told about. Hopefully you will be able to determine in which domain you are.
Best wishes,
Elena

Davie,
Good question, and interesting. As one who has always desired to be female, I some time wonder why a male would want female breasts but not want to present as female. But, in actuality, I can understand a fascination with having beautiful female breasts.
Only you can answer the question of being Transgendered. The term actually covers a broad spectrum of phsycologial areas. Transvestites, crossdressers, transexuals, shemales and one or two others I can't recall. It's up to you to find where you fit in.
All I can say is, do your homework. The Internet is a great source of information. Just remember you're alright, it's your life to live not somebody else's. Good luck,
Jenny M.

Hey, I've wanted to develop feminine breasts for a while, but don't want to become female. Does this mean that I am "transgendered" or confused? I am a married male.
