Nikki,

Welcome to the TF forum. I am also still a male, unfortunatly. However I started TF on May 13th. I have high hopess.

As for your concern on passing, I, too, have these concern. If you realize, as I have, you don't have to go "jump into a dress" right away. You and I have time to do some thing which will help down the road when we are ready to face the public as our true selves. See my post, "I Have a Plan" on the TG/TF Support thread.

For instance: Start growing out your hair. Then find a styllist you like and have her suggest a style that complements your face.

Also, laser off you facial hair. This will make you look younger and provide a smooth canvass when you're ready for make-up lessons.

I agree with you on the voice feminization. Surgery is expense and may not give you the results you hope for. Today, I ordered an audion course, "Fundamental of your feminine Voice". I believe this is a good choice for me, I let everyone know my progress. There are several other courses out there and nothing beats one-on-one training, if you can afford it.

I hope this helps you, Nikki. And please keep us posted on your progress. All my best,

Karen

yes,I am still a male who hasnt even started using Transfemme, but I plan to be putting in a big order very soon. Before even starting I have been diagnosed by my therapist as a person who rejects his sex,and my phsychotherapist tells me that my biggest concern right now is passability.Presently I use several herbs to help me along. One is milk thistle, one is saw palmetto, and a third is red clover.

I consider scraping your vocal chords as too dangerous an operation, because there is no guarantee that your voice will change or that the vocal chords will not snap, leaving you with no voice whatsoever. Voice training is a much safer choice, and also a more accurate one,as it will show a true feminine voice, not just a higher-pitched one.
